$1 TV Episodes Coming to iTunes in April
February 15, 2010

I've been saying it for years: If the cable/ satellite providers would allow you to pick and choose packages with only the channels you want, they would make a killing. Apple has been toying with a similar concept.
Apple is expected to begin trails on their $1 standard-definition TV episodes on iTunes beginning in April. Currently, standard definition TV episodes on iTunes sell for $1.99 with high def versions going for $2.99.
Of course, it's easy to understand why major TV networks aren't in love with Apple's idea; Not only does it mean less money, but increased demand could be but another reason for viewers to ditch their cable boxes and satellite receivers altogether.
