7 Seconds from Boot to Internet connected

ASUS has just released the Eee box, a space-saving and power efficient PC that just might replace many of the large bulky computers in many homes. Slim as a paperback novel you can slip this machine just about anywhere for near instantaneous boot and connection to the Internet.

The Eee Box also supports the latest WiFi 802.11n wireless standard - providing up to eight times faster connectivity than previous 802.11b/g wireless. At that speed you can download a 30 minute video in only 44 seconds.

Makes me wonder if this is close to an answer of having an appliance in our homes that is not only continually connected to the Internet but also serving us information through personal devices.
