A Bluetooth iPod?

We last looked at the furious circulation of wireless iPod rumors a few months back — but today, Stuff Magazine fanned those flames anew with word of a Bluetooth iPod soon to arrive on store shelves.
"Apple had a strangely quiet 30th birthday over the weekend, but it hasn't been staying in and watching Pixar films," writes reporter Mark Wilson. "According to a UK retailer we've been speaking to, it's been adding the finishing touches to a Bluetooth iPod."
Key to any Bluetooth iPod, Wilson writes, would be support for Bluetooth wireless headphones. You could also hook a Bluetooth iPod directly into your car stereo without needing any special auxiliary wiring.
At Mac Rumors, there's an entertainingly cheesy picture of a patent image for a wireless iPod, though that site also notes that Steve Jobs is on record as having said that Bluetooth wouldn't be great for the iPod, due to battery drain and poor sound quality.
And so the rumor mill churns on…
