Anticipating Verizon’s Droid Incredible

Verizon Wireless has announced plans to release the Droid Incredible by HTC on April 29, with online pre-ordering available starting on April 19.
The smartphone boasts Qualcomm's 1 GHz Snapdragon processor.
"The new Droid Incredible is a cousin of the Motorola Droid and the HTC Droid Eris, also on Verizon, but Incredible compares best to the HTC-built Nexus One, originally only sold via Google online and with service from T-Mobile USA, but coming soon to Sprint Nextel," notes Computerworld's Matt Hamblen.
"Incredible runs Android 2.1 with the newest version of HTC's Sense user interface, which offers users a seven-panel homescreen, meaning they can quickly navigate to any one of seven open applications or close one through a pinch called 'Leap' on the homescreen," Hamblen writes.
"The Droid Incredible will be available for pre-order on April 19, and will hit store shelves April 29," writes InformationWeek's Antone Gonsalves. "The price is $300 at Verizon retail stores, but there is a $100 mail-in rebate card, which lowers the price to $200."
