Back from the Land of the Penguins

I'm back after a month in antarctica and South Georgia (photo at left, of Jeff and a handful of penguin friends, by Sally Emery).
Making the transition from 14 Kbps satellite Internet access near the Antarctic Peninsula to Los Angeles cable broadband is, I've gotta say, quite a rush.
