Best Buy Gets Palm Pre

Best Buy Gets Palm Pre

According to WebOS Arena, Best Buy Mobile will be the sole retailer selling the hot new Palm Pre for the first 60 days after its initial release.

"In many ways, this is similar to the approach that Apple took when it first launched the iPhone," notes Mobile Mag's Michael Kwan. "At the time, you could only buy the iPhone from Apple and AT&T stores, though that is now expanding into the realm of Best Buy and Wal-Mart. Palm doesn't really have much of a brick-and-mortar presence, so they had to opt for another retailer."

"The Palm Pre is going to be the 'it' phone the first half of 2009, as long as Apple doesn't kick out an iPhone nano or something else along those lines," suggests Geek.com's Joel Evans.

But the real question is how much, I know they are thinking $399 or $499, But thay day has past. Nobody is going to spend that kind of money on a cellphone especially a buggy one like palm. F k them, and best buy. If it was $199 they would of already said.
