GigaOM's Katie Fehrenbacher looks at the impressive growth of municipal Wi-Fi in California -- thanks, she suggests, to the number of large urban areas in the state, the presence of Silicon Valley, and "an interest in using wireless broadband to help education, business and basic communication."
Fehrenbacher's list of Cali Wi-Fi deployments ranges from Silicon Valley Metro Connect to the Long Beach Hotzone.
