Cisco Joins the 802.11n Fold

Cisco this week reversed its long-held position that it would wait for the final draft of 802.11n before releasing any products. How did it reverse that position? Why, by releasing 802.11n products, of course - specifically, the Aironet 1250 Series Access Point.
Why? It's simple, according to Techworld's Peter Judge. "Cisco is doing this because of demand," he writes. "Spokespeople on the launch webcast repeatedly said 802.11n had taken off surprisingly quickly."
"Next-generation wireless offers the promise of higher bandwidth and more reliable mobility, and Cisco has recognized the importance of delivering not only industry-leading wireless technology but also the integrated wired and wireless solution to make it all possible," says Cisco's Brett Galloway.
