Driving Under the Influence… of a Mobile Phone
June 28, 2006

Donga.com looks at a recent study by the Samsung Traffic Safety Research Institute which compared the effects of driving with a DMB (Digital Multimedia Broadcasting) mobile phone in your hand to driving drunk.
Some study participants were given alcohol, while others were given mobile phones — then they all got into a driving simulator.
"According to the final result of the research, using DMB cell phones was the most hazardous behavior while driving, followed by 0.1% blood alcohol content, watching DMB TV, and 0.05% alcohol content," the article states.
