Extreme Networks Announces Summit WM200 and Summit WM2000

TMCnet's Erik Linask looks at this week's announcement of a new suite of wireless LAN solutions from Extreme Networks, based on its Summit Wireless Mobility (WM) product line.
"Perhaps the most important feature of the Summit WM platform is that it creates a single, integrated wireless platform, which naturally means greater security and easier management, compared to a third-party wireless solution added to an existing LAN," Linask writes. "With Extreme's WLAN solution, business will quickly see an increase in productivity thanks to added mobility, but network administrators will have little additional work to do as a result of the expansion. The Summit WM solution allows for consistent security and management applications across wired and Wireless Networks
."
