Joikusoft and FON today announced a new version of JoikuSoft's JoikuSpot Wi-Fi hotspot software called FonSpot, which turns a mobile phone into a Wi-Fi hotspot that instantly becomes part of FON's global Wi-Fi network.
"FonSpot enables any laptop, iPod Touch, Internet tablet or other Wi-Fi-enabled device to connect to the Internet using any compatible mobile phone as a secure high speed Internet gateway," writes TMCnet's Anuradha Shukla. "The companies believe that FonSpot with Wi-Fi is all set to replace Bluetooth, cable and USB dongles to access the Internet using mobile phones and 3G connectivity."
