Free Wi-Fi from Skype

To publicize the launch of Skype Access, Skype is temporarily subsidizing free Wi-Fi access at 100,000 hotspots worldwide.
"The free access will take place between March 20 and 21, from 00:00 GMT on the 20th to March to 23:59 GMT on the 21st," writes PC Mag's Mark Hachman. "U.K. travelers affected by a strike by British Airways cabin crews will have the free offer extended, so that it expires on 23:59 on Monday, March 22."
"The new Skype Access feature is really handy for travelers who only need a short connection to check their e-mail or make a quick Skype call," explains WalletPop's Josh Smith. "Instead of pulling out a credit card and paying for an hour, or a full day of access, users can pay 19 cents a minute in the U.S. using Skype Credit."
"Once you're at a Skype Access compatible hotspot, you'll only need your laptop and the latest version of Skype and you're good to go," according to Ubergizmo.
