Garmin today introduced Garmin Mobile XT, software preloaded on a microSD card that turns a mobile phone with GPS into a full-fledged Garmin navigator for the U.S., Canada and Europe with preloaded maps, real time traffic alerts and fuel prices.
"Garmin Mobile XT is easy-to-use and affordable, with no monthly charges," says Garmin's Charles Morse. "It's a one-time investment that gives customers full-featured GPS navigation on their smartphone whenever and wherever they need it, including areas outside of wireless network coverage."
The solution is available now for $100, which is positively cheap when you consider the lack of a monthly fee.
