Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. this week announced that it had been chosen by Tajikistan's Babilon-T to deploy what will be central Asialinks's first commercial WiMax network. Rollout will start immediately, with the commercial launch expected during the first quarter of 2008.

"Babilon-T is looking forward to implement wireless broadband access infrastructure nationally," says company general director Fayzullaev B. "By introducing mobile WiMax technology, we will be able to provide our customers all over Tajikistan with broadband access to the Internet."
