To that end Bancorp Bank will expand its remote-deposit-gathering capabilities by enabling customers to deposit personal and business checks via their smartphone cameras in an easy and secure way utilizing Mitek's Mobile Deposit application.
The fully secure mobile deposit application works like this: When depositing a check, the user initiates a mobile-banking session, punches in the deposit amount and snaps a photo with the phone of the front and back of the check!
The software then captures the check image and prepares it for transmission to the Bancorp. Before transmitting the check image, Mitek's IMagePROVE technology automatically corrects image distortions and skewing and confirms that it meets accepted Check 21 image-quality standards.
The Mobile Deposit supports the payments industry standards for Remote Deposit Capture (RDC) and is available on the iPhone, BlackBerry and Windows Mobile handsets. Did I mention I hate banker's hours?
