HTC this week introduced its newest (and cheapest) Android phone, the HTC Tattoo.
"Formerly known as the HTC Click, the Tattoo, we presume, gets it name from the customization options it offers and is being advertised as an Android phone for all," writes CNET's Bonnie Cha. "It's the second phone from the company, after the HTC Hero, to use the HTC Sense user interface, which provides up to seven home screen panels that can be personalized with various widgets, shortcuts, and wallpapers."
"The handset is also the first major Android smartphone to use resistive technology for its 2.8-inch touchscreen," writes InformationWeek's Marin Perez. "Devices such as the myTouch 3G and the Samsung Galaxy sport capacitive touchscreens."
"The Tattoo has specs that rival higher end offerings from other companies... examples include the following: 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, Bluetooth, accelerometer, digital compass, microSD slot, Wi-Fi, GPS, and dual-band (900/2100MHz) 7.2Mbps UMTS/HSDPA alongside quad-band EDGE," notes BGR's Michael Bettiol.
The phone will first launch in Europe early next month.
