Introducing the Wi-Fi Detector Shirt
Filed in archive Wi-Fi by jeff goldman on October 5, 2007

Just when you thought every imaginable Wi-Fi device had already been invented, ThinkGeek has introduced the Wi-Fi Detector Shirt. As long as you don't mind shelling out $30 and hanging a battery pack with three AAA batteries from your inside pocket, you can wear a shirt that dynamically displays local 802.11 signal strength... wow...
Thank God some journalists are asking the tough questions: as Computerworld's Stephen Lawson reports, "Asked whether the Wi-Fi Detector Shirt will solve a critical problem for users, Gartner Inc. analyst Ken Dulaney said, 'Probably for a very few people in the world, yes...'"
"My goodness, people," writes Pocket-lint's Amy-Mae Elliott. "The future really is now. And it costs just 30 American dollars."
