Keeping Wi-Fi Secure
January 09, 2006
An excellent article in today's Columbus Dispatch reminds readers quite how simple it is to keep a home wireless network secure — there are no longer any excuses for not doing so.
The article notes that about two out of three wireless signals are still left unencrypted, but quotes a security expert as saying, "It's up to me to lock the doors to my house or to make sure my wallet is secure in my pocket. A computer is no different."
As further proof of how universal this is, the Home Loan Blog, of all places, today offers a series of links to articles explaining how to secure a wireless network. If the home loan guys can do it, so can you.
