Kodak Announces ESP 7 and ESP 9 Wireless Printers

Kodak today introduced two new Wi-Fi-enabled multifunction printers, the KODAK ESP 7 and ESP 9 All-in-One Printers.
"The ESP 7 All-in-One Printer ($199.99) features a 3-inch color LCD display along with memory card and USB slots for viewing, editing, and printing without a computer," writes PC Magazine's Tony Hoffman. "The ESP 7 is enabled for Wi-Fi and Ethernet-connected printing, and includes a duplexer for two-sided printing."
"The ESP 9 ($299.99) has the same print engine as the EPS 7," writes Macworld's Roman Loyola. "The ESP 9 has fax and an automatic document feeder. The device also uses a 10-inch touchpanel, with blue-illuminated buttons and a 3-inch color LCD."
"Of course, in addition to Wi-Fi, the Kodak printers offer an Ethernet port for wired network printing," writes ZDNet's Sean Portnoy. "What's interesting is that the company hasn't been pushing Wi-Fi into its digital cameras (save the older EasyShare-One), which seems like a natural synergy if it wants to stay in the printing game. In any event, the trend is clearly to add wireless networking to all-in-ones at the higher end of the price range; the only question is how soon it will be added to budget multifunctions and then more inkjet and personal laser printers."
