Netgear's New Router To Turn 3G into WiFi

Netgear, leading manufacturer of and expert on routing hardware, firewalls, wireless and IP networks will showcase a new device during the GSMA Mobile World Congress trade show in Barcelona next week.

This new device, called the MBRN3300E is a 3G Mobile Broadband Router that combines 3G WAN with 802.11n wireless and Ethernet LAN. In English this means the device will gather 3G signal from the Ericsson wireless network and translate it into Wi-Fi so as to be detected by laptops, PDA's, video game consoles and so on.

The router will offer such unique features as live parental controls and content filtering, Stateful Packet Inspection (SPI), VPN pass-through and Denial of Service protection,
Automatic Quality of Service (QoS) for reliable video, voice and gaming, broadband usage meter, and Push 'N' Connect with industry standard Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) for securely connecting devices at the touch of a button.
This divice represents the first collaboration between Netgear and Sony Ericsson.
