Nokia Intros Eco Sensor Concept Phone

Nokia this week introduced its Eco Sensor Concept handset, which is designed to minimize the use of non-renewable materials, run on solar power, and monitor its user's health via a wireless sensor.
"The Minority Report-ish handset sways from the norm by consisting of two parts - the phone itself, which is no larger than a chunky watch and made from plant based plastics and 100 per cent recycled steel," writes TrustedReviews' Gordon Kelly. "The second part is the wearable strap made from solar cells which not only power the device but also monitor local weather conditions and the owner's vitals."
"The Nokia Eco Sensor device will be made using the latest environmentally friendly technologies plus bio and reclaimed materials," explains Tech.co.uk's Anna Lagerkvist. "Solar cells will power the actual sensor, while devices will be able to talk to each other using near field communication (NFC) technology."
