Nokia ro Release a Trio of Cheap Smartphones
Filed in archive Mobile on April 16, 2010

To gain the edge in the competitive smartphone wars, Nokia hoping affordable pricing will put its three latest handsets in the hunt.
Calling them the C3, C6 and E5, these phones are aimed at offering strong messaging and social-networking tools at an affordable price point.
The $125 C3 is built on Nokia's Series 40 platform and includes a 2.0-megapixel camera, a 2.4-inch screen, Wi-Fi connectivity and support for social networks such as Facebook and Twitter.
The $300 C6 (shown in the photo) is built around the Symbian operating system and has a 3.2-inch touch screen display and a 5.0-megapixel camera with flash and auto-focus capabilities.
Finally the $245 E5 is targeted at corporate consumers and has a suite of social-networking capabilities and productivity apps that can access over 90 percent of the world's corporate emails through Mail for Exchange and IBM Lotus Notes Traveler.
Nokia says the two C-series models will hit shelves in the second quarter while the E5 will follow shortly thereafter in the third.
