NTT DoCoMo Announces 'Super 3G' Experiment

With the wonderfully direct heading "NTT Kicks Ass," Gizmodo's Charlie White today reports that Japan's NTT DoCoMo "is about to make even speedy 3.1 Mbps EV-DO (Rev. A) look like a horse and buggy, experimenting with a Super 3G wireless network system that could blast data through the air at speeds of 300 Mbps."

The company plans to have the development process completed by 2009. As White points out, their most significant challenge will lie in making what appears to be a pretty complex system really, really, really small...
