Palm's New OS About to Launch
Filed in archive Mobile on March 1, 2010

Palm has released its WebOS 1.4 update, which adds video recording, editing and sharing on Facebook and YouTube, for Verizon and Sprint's Pre and Pixi smartphones.
Palm says the new operating system will also prolong battery life, quicken software launch time and improve the performance for many apps. Also an LED light will alert users when new messages arrive to the unit, even when the handset display is off.
Palm said WebOS 1.4 will be automatically pushed to smartphones over the next few days, but Verizon and Sprint users can manually upgrade their devices through the Update application right away.
