Plastic Logic Inks Deal With AT&T
Filed in archive Mobile on July 26, 2009

Plastic Logic this week announced an agreement under which AT&T will provide the mobile broadband connection for the Plastic Logic Reader when it launches its 2010.
"Privately held Plastic Logic says it will rely on AT&T to supply its gadgets with a wireless connection, in the same way that Sprint is the network provider for Amazon's Kindle," explains AllThingsD's Peter Kafka. "It's the second big partnership Plastic Logic has unveiled this week... it [also] linked up with Barnes & Noble, which will be its virtual bookstore."
And while the Kindle will provide formidable competition, Plastic Logic's device is extremely compelling. "The Plastic Logic Reader will have nearly the same dimensions as an 8.5 x 11 inch piece of paper, and will be less than a quarter-inch thick," writes GalleyCat's Jason Boog.
