Plastic Logic’s Que Delayed

Shipments of Plastic Logic's Que Wi-Fi e-reader have been delayed.
"During CES, where Que was one of the buzziest booths, the company said it would ship the expensive devices by mid-April," writes paidContent.org's Staci D. Kramer. "The new shipping date is a vague 'this summer.' The offered reason: 'to fine-tune the features and enhance the overall product experience.'"
"While we can't say for sure what nuts and bolts the engineers at Plastic Logic are still turning, the Que prototype we played with at CES felt a bit slow on the draw and unusually difficult to make touch selections with," writes Digital Trends' Nick Mokey.
"If Plastic Logic keeps delaying the Que's release, it may threaten to become the Duke Nukem Forever of the e-reader world," writes Crave's David Carnoy. "Of course, one of its big problems is its price (it starts at $649) and the impending release of Apple's iPad, which has more features, a color screen, plays video, and actually costs less. Yes, some products shouldn't be sold before their time. But sometimes that time was last year."
