Qualcomm in the Doghouse

Qualcomm had a rough day yesterday.

The Bush Administration chose not to veto the ITC order banning Qualcomm chips from entering the U.S. - and a separate court ruling found that Qualcomm had no right to enforce some of its video transmission patents.

"Qualcomm immediately announced it would appeal both decisions," writes InternetNews' Roy Mark. "In the meantime, however, it faces an import ban set to go into effect on Tuesday; Qualcomm plans to seek an emergency stay of the order before the U.S. Federal Court of Appeals. In July, the same court declined to issue a stay until after a decision on the veto."
