Wi-Fi

ComputerworldUK's Tash Shifrin reports today that truck maker Scania has announced plans to work with iPass to give remote workers access to the Internet.
"Scania will use iPass's Mobile Office service in a deployment managed by remote access specialist Flexible Networks Nordic to give more staff access to high-speed Wi-Fi hotspots," Shifrin writes. "At present, many Scania staff rely on slow dial-up connections."
"Wi-Fi was the missing link in our mobile connectivity strategy," says Scania's Jens Satero. "The technology has come into its own over the last two years, and we wanted to take advantage of that."
