Sony Announces BRAVIA iPod Dock and Wi-Fi Client

Mobile Magazine's Dave White today looks at the arrival of Sony's TDM-IP1 Digital Media Port, a $99 iPod dock for the Sony BRAVIA system. "For years, Sony pretended that the iPod didn't exist, preferring to promote its own MP3 player and its own accessories," White writes. "Now that the electronics giant has seen the light and joined the ipod accessories stable, the sky seems to be the limit."

In addition to the dock, as Digital Trends' Geoff Duncan notes, Sony has also released the $199 Digital Media Port Wi-Fi Client TDM-NC1, a black cube with both Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet connections for streaming music. "One black face of the cube-shaped TDM-NC1 sports a bright display which shows the current track playing, artist info, and track information... which Sony claims can also be used to help search through songs," Duncan writes.
