In its announcement of its unfortunately-named XOHM WiMax service today, Sprint mentioned that it's planning to spend approximately $5 billion to roll out the network - $2.5 billion by year-end 2008, and another $2.5 billion by year-end 2010.
In return, the company says it expects to generate more than $2 billion a year in revenue starting in 2010.
"The cellular provider did not commit to service plans, but reportedly intends to offer between 2 Mbps and 4 Mbps download speeds for approximately $50 per month," according to Electronista.
