Sweden's TeliaSonera Launches Telia Home Free FMC Solution

Swedish carrier TeliaSonera yesterday announced plans to offer a fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) solution called Telia Home Free.
"We are now integrating the mobile telephone in the digital home by taking the best features from both worlds to also incorporate the personal communications capability of the mobile phone in residential telephony," says TeliaSonera's Håkan Dahlström.
The service allows users to switch calls automatically between their home and mobile networks, taking advantage of the cost savings that come with calling over a home Wi-Fi network.
The new service will launch on September 28th, and works specifically with the Nokia 6086 handset - which, of course, is the same phone that T-Mobile is using for its similar T-Mobile @Home service.
