Crave's Rory Reid this week broke the news that Asus claims to be working with Apple on a Mac Tablet.
"We're tempted to ignore all Apple Rumours because there's just so many of them, but this rings true because Asus is Apple's contract manufacturer," Reid writes. "It's one of the companies responsible for building the iBooks, PowerBooks and MacBooks of this world, so when their guys tell us they're building an Apple Tablet, we believe them."
"So what could we expect from an Apple Tablet?" asks SCI FI Tech's Adam Frucci. "Well, it seems like all you'd need would be a bigger version of the iPhone with some more robust software and hardware to make it a more fully-functioning computer. But who knows? It'll be interesting to see what Apple comes up with, if anything. Stay tuned."
The best reason of all to believe this rumor? "If there's one thing I have realized, it's this: Apple does not like buttons," notes MacApper's Taylor Sternberg.

Nov 15, 07 at 6:03 amThis a very logic step to introduce touch screen laptops when Apple has the so call “multi-touch” technogy on hand. The tablet pc business never really took off, traditional laptops are still dominating the business and consumer sectors. Hope Appple can find a way in.
