The T-Mobile Dash Reviewed... 'A Q Killer? Definitely.'

Reuters reports that T-Mobile today (finally...) officially announced the T-Mobile Dash, which runs Windows Mobile and boasts both a QWERTY keyboard and Wi-Fi connectivity. The phone, built by Taiwan's HTC, will be released on October 25 for $199 with a two-year contract.
Current Analysis analyst Avi Greengart says the Dash has nothing on competitors like the Motorola Q and BlackBerry Pearl. "I don't think it's fancy enough," he says.
Engadget's Ryan Block, on the other hand, thinks the Dash beats the Q in just about every way. "In terms of aesthetics and the ever-powerful touchability, the Dash has it in spades," he writes. "Its shape and soft touch finish make it far more comfortable to hold in the hand than almost any other smartphone we can think of in the US market."
MSNBC's Gary Krakow agrees. "The Dash is the smallest, slickest, smartest smartphone on the market today," he writes. "It instantly rises to the head-of-the-class. A Q killer if I've ever seen one."
"Is it a Q-killer? Definitely," writes Gizmodo's Jason Chen. "If you're looking for a smartphone in a thin package and are willing to give up Pocket PC features like touch-screen and Office Mobile, you won't go wrong with the Dash."
PC Magazine's Sascha Segan writes, "It's a cool little smartphone that deserves a place in the top rank of handhelds, and it's a worthy competitor to the blackberry pearl
, Motorola Q, and Palm Treo 700p."
"The T-Mobile Dash by far is one of the best Windows Mobile devices I have ever used," writes Mobility Today's David Ciccone.
CNET's Bonnie Cha has the most in-depth review of all here... and T-Mobile's press release is here.
