The Wi-Fi Health Scare Continues

Well, I thought most people's fears about Wi-Fi were gone, but it looks like we're going to be dealing with concerns about the health effects of wireless for some time to come: according to Toronto's AM 640 News, city health department Toronto Public Health is demanding more information from Toronto Hydro on its plans to deploy broadband wireless Internet access throughout the city. Toronto Public Health, apparently, is asking for more information on the effects of electro-magnetic waves. Hydro has responded by pointing out that extensive research into the technology has found it poses no health risk.
Just a couple of days ago, city mayor David Miller went on record saying the wireless deployment would put Toronto "on the leading edge of the telecommunications industry nationwide and globally."
Now, of course, that's on hold until Hydro can make sure everyone's comfortable with the effects of electro-magnetic waves. Maybe they should start by reading this… or this… or this… you get the idea…
