T-Mobile Announces Sidekick LX and Sidekick Slide

T-Mobile today announced two new Sidekick models, the luxury (natch) Sidekick LX with a high-resolution screen, and the Motorola-built sidekick slide, which (again, natch…) has a screen that slides up rather than swiveling like past Sidekick models.
"T-Mobile is touting the LX's 'mood lights,' which will light up with definable alerts for various communication functions," notes BrightHand's Ed Hardy.
"Both models support GSM/EDGE and Bluetooth, and come equipped with 1.3 MP cameras (LX comes with its own flash), microSD expandable memory, plus the standard Sidekick communications software with the new mobile MySpace app," adds BetaNews' Tim Conneally.
The LX will launch on October 17th for $300 with a two-year contract, and the Slide will launch on November 7th for $200.

Sep 27, 07 at 6:35 amHow come sidekick is exclusive to T-Mobile? They have the least coverage in the US, let alone they are the only network that doesn’t have 3G. If they make sidekick available for all other carriers, it certainly will dominate the teen market with the new mobile mySpace.
