Don't think the whole wireless industry is nervous about Apple's forthcoming iPhone 4 launch? Consider the following: T-Mobile has decided to offer every phone for free to customers who sign up for a family plans at its retail stores this Saturday.
The carrier said new customers are eligible for the free-phone promotion by signing up for a group plan with at least two users. Current subscribers who add a line to their existing individual or family plan will also be eligible for the free phones.
T-Mobile said the deal includes even its newest smartphones, such as the MyTouch Slide (shown), which runs Google's Android operating system and usually goes for $180 with a contract, and the HTC HD2, which runs Microsoft's Windows Mobile software and retails for $200 with a contract normally.
The promotion will begin at 8 am this Saturday (June 19) and continue for as long as supplies last in the individual store.
