Global IP Solutions (GIPS) this week announced that it's enabling VoIP on the iPhone 3G through the release of the new GIPS VoiceEngine Mobile software development kit (SDK).
"The new SDK will allow voice over IP (VoIP) developers to create a wide-range of programs, including multi-person chat games and applications for calling regular phone lines," writes The Inquirer's Aharon Etengoff.
And GIPS isn't the only one - this week, SPIRIT DSP announced that its TeamSpirit 3.0 Voice Engine Mobile enables wideband VoIP applications on the iPhone 3G.
