UK Hotels 'Charge the Earth' for Wi-Fi Access

ZDNet UK's David Meyer reports that the The Good Hotel Guide 2007, released today, has "named and shamed" hotels that "charge the earth" for Wi-Fi access.
"The 2007 edition of the Guide points out that some UK hotels charge as much as £5 an hour despite the low running costs of a Wi-Fi network - a Cambridge hotel is even identified as charging their guests £20 for one day's access," Meyer writes.
The Independent's Terry Kirby quotes
Adam Raphael, one of the co-editors of the Guide, as saying, "We know that hotels are in the business of making money, but people do not like the feeling of being ripped off. Hotels don't charge extra for heating or water, so why not just incorporate these kind of fees in the overall bill?"
