Verizon Wireless Gives Its Customers a (Tiny, Irrelevant) Gift...

Verizon Wireless proudly announced today that, starting next week, its customers will be able to change their voice and data plans without having to sign a new contract in order to do so.
"Verizon Wireless once again demonstrates that our number one priority is delivering the most customer-friendly wireless experience in the U.S. marketplace," boasts Verizon COO Jack Plating.
Still, TwinCities.com's Debra O'Connor suggests this may not have come just from the goodness of Verizon's heart. "On Thursday, Minnesota Attorney General Lori Swanson sued a different cell phone company, Sprint Nextel, for the same practice, which Swanson maintains violates the state's consumer fraud and deceptive trade practices act," she writes.
