Virgin Atlantic: In-Flight Wi-Fi 'Commonplace' Within Five Years
Cheapflights.co.uk reports that Virgin Atlantic says Wi-Fi Internet access will become "commonplace" on aircraft within five years.

Virgin spokesperson Charlotte Tidball says the airline is currently deciding on the best way to implement in-flight Wi-Fi itself. "We are tracking the development of Wi-Fi and looking at ways to offer wireless services to our passengers," she says.

Tidball says Virgin anticipates offering Wi-Fi access for mobile phones and PDAs as well as laptops, and expects to do so within the coming year.
