GigaOM's Paul Kapustka looks at the news that vonage will be reselling EarthLink's Wi-Fi service, and he's confused by what he reads. "What, they don't have enough scars from taking on incumbents in voice, now they're going to butt heads over Internet access as well?" he asks.
But Unstrung's Richard Martin thinks it makes sense. "Becoming a reseller for EarthLink is at this point a low-risk move for the VOIP provider, which went public last year and has seen its share price plummet 62 percent since its debut," he writes.
