WeFi Launches Beta Version of Wi-Fi Mapping Software

TG Daily's George Walsh looks at Wi-Fi mapping startup WeFi, which today announced the public launch of the beta version of its software. The free software can be downloaded here.
The WeFi solution provides a very graphical, user-friendly (and notably Skype-like) interface which keeps the user as fully informed as possible regarding available Wi-Fi access in the immediate area. "To help users find free Wi-Fi networks with or without WeFi software, WeFi provides online maps
that users update and share with others," according to a company release. "Unlike most Wi-Fi maps that are often out of date, WeFi maps are constantly being refreshed with new user-generated information."
More here from Digital Silence ... more here from Wireless Week ... and the press release is here.
