Wi-Fi More Popular Than iPod
July 12, 2006

The Wi-Fi Alliance today announced the results of a study conducted by Kelton Research examining consumer perceptions of Wi-Fi technology.
Among other key findings, the study found that Wi-Fi is more popular than iPods. 80 percent of the 551 Americans surveyed said they'd rather give up their iPod than give up their home wireless network. And the same percentage said they'd rather give up their home phone than give up their home Wi-Fi network.
Seems like a strong argument for a Wi-Fi-enabled iPod cell phone… Apple, are you listening?
