Wi-Fi Pay Phones in Moscow

GeekSugar today looks at the plan by Comstar UTS and the Moscow City telephone network
(MGTS) to install 200 Wi-Fi pay phones throughout Moscow.
As CrunchGear's Vince Veneziani explains, "Each phone will allow customers to pay via coins, pre-paid cards, sms-authorization, and MGTS phone cards. Apparently, you'll even be able to use these new phones to connect to a Wi-Fi network using your laptop."
Comstar CEO Eric Franke says the pay phones will make Wi-Fi available to users in public places "with no existing presence of Comstar UTS. We expect to double the number of hotspots every year in Moscow."
