ITPro's Maggie Holland reports today that Warwick, England will officially start trialing its WiMax solution this weekend at the European Cup Race Walking Championships, "marking the occasion by providing competitors, media and spectators with high-speed wireless broadband connectivity."
"Following the big launch, the council will push forward with its pilot using five employees, before widening the net to include local businesses and home users over the remainder of the year," Holland writes. "Warwick is working with a number of key partners on its WiMax project, including Intel Solutions Services, National Grid Wireless and Pipex Wireless."
