The Computing Technology Industry Association (CompTIA) this week announced that a survey of 3,578 IT managers worldwide has shown that wireless and RF mobile technology is expected to be the most needed skill set for the next five years.
"Of 14 countries represented in the survey, IT managers in just two said they didn't believe wireless skills will increase more in importance than any other IT skills during that time," writes InformationWeek's K.C. Jones.
"IT managers in France and South Africa ranked wireless skills second to Web-based technologies and security, respectively," Jones adds.
"The need for these skills was especially strong in health care and education, cited by 63 percent of respondents in each," notes eWeek's Deb Perelman.
